The Super Bowl of China Store

BEGINNING

The passion to serve the Filipino market was the main thrust in fulfilling a new concept that was once a dream but became a very visible reality with the beginning of Big Buddha Restaurant, Incorporated.

Creating a new franchise worthy concept that will serve an unfulfilled market need with boundless opportunities for growth is where it all began. Service style, ambiance, price points, and food quality greatly influenced by the extensive food industry experience of the partners became our biggest motivation.

With an idealistic yet very practical sense and passion for building not just another restaurant but a home for a true concept that would flourish and stand the test of time, came the birth of Super Bowl of China.

CONCEPT

A restaurant that serves Chinese, mostly Cantonese cuisine, with a western ambience and service standard. The value for money pricing allows the concept to appeal to a wide range of customers without sacrificing food quality and service. The look and feel of the restaurant is unlike any traditional Chinese restaurant. When customers enter a Super Bowl of China, they are welcomed by an undeniably modern and contemporary ambiance. The image was inspired and created through a number of elements some of which are the design, décor, floor and wall finishes, furnishings, table setting, small wares, food presentation, food portions, and the menu. All these elements capture the heart of a modern day Filipino ---- one who loves to have fun, dine out with family and friends, and enjoy their company while doing so.

All these, creating a simple ambiance, an uncomplicated eating style of very filling traditional Chinese dishes that capture the heart of the Filipino who loves to dine with friends and family, and the best service are what set Superbowl apart.

GROWTH

Opening its doors for the first time at the Mega Strip of SM Megamall in March 2001, was the very first Super Bowl of China restaurant. Encouraged by a very warm welcome from its patrons, Super Bowl Glorietta 4 at Ayala Center was the next restaurant to open up. Along the way, a new birth came with the Big Buddha Restaurant in Greenbelt 3, a spin-off of the Super Bowl concept that serves the same delicious Chinese food. A persistent clamor for our cuisine from the Alabang market convinced us to open another branch at the Filinvest Festival Mall in July 2003. To cap a very prolific year of expansion, Super Bowl opened its 5th branch at SM City North EDSA.

To date, we have opened a franchise location at the Gateway Mall at the Araneta Center Complex as well as new corporate and joint venture branches in Blue Wave Marquinton in Marikina City, SM Mall of Asia, Trinoma Mall North EDSA, and at the new Midtown Wing in Robinsons Ermita, Manila. In addition, our very first branch in SM Megamall is currently in the process of relocating at the 4th floor of the New SM Megamall Atrium. Watch out for our Grand Reopening here in January 2009!

To support our intended long-term growth, a central commissary has been built. This enables Super Bowl of China to maintain its high level of food quality ----- enough for us to support thirty to forty more stores in the future.

FOOD

The most important element of Super Bowl of China--- Chinese food ----has enjoyed a long history of success in the Philippine setting. Dishes like Sweet and Sour Pork, Beef with Broccoli, Crispy Fried Chicken, Lemon Chicken, and Yang Chow Fried Rice have long endeared themselves to the Filipino palate. Although these dishes are available in other restaurants, the quality of raw materials, the taste profile, generous servings and presentation are Super Bowl of China’s greatest points of differentiation. The ingredients used are of the highest quality, never compromising even if it means importing some of the items needed to create the perfect, traditional Chinese dish. The taste profile passes the most discriminating of standards and the presentation is always colorful and attractive to the eyes as well as flavorful to the palate. The biggest and most pleasant surprise for most people is the legendary Super Bowl of China servings--- very generous and value-priced.
