The conversation with DPWH Secretary Hermogenes Ebdane Jr. last March 16 was delayed when the information that Undersecretary Ramon Aquino has passed.
He succumbed to multiple organ failure, the result of more than a week's battle for life from March 11's ambush outside the DPWH’s office in Manila. Up to now the reason for the attack is a surprise to his family, friends and colleagues.
His body will remain displayed for public viewing at the DPWH office until Thursday noon. The official’s remains would then be brought to the Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina City for the interment at 3 p.m. that same day.
Aquino is set to be replaced by DPWH Undersecretary for Mindanao Romeo Momo.
